My Health Journey

My personal healing journey is the foundation of Core Essence. For years, I struggled with pain, anxiety, and the demands of a stressful lifestyle. Traditional approaches often fell short, leaving me searching for something deeper. This quest led me to discover the amazing benefits of holistic therapies—especially breathwork and Spinal Flow, which transformed not just my physical health but also my mental clarity and emotional resilience. These experiences ignited a passion to help others reclaim their health and experience the freedom that comes with true wellness.

Overcoming anxiety and nervousness has been a lifelong challenge for me. Life has thrown many curveballs—bullying, a marriage breakup, family illness, earthquakes, raising teenagers, injuries, starting a new business, and the impact of COVID-19.

To manage my pain, anxiety, and ongoing stress, I turned to good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. Over the years, I experimented with deep breathing, mindfulness, and meditation, understanding their benefits but never maintaining a consistent practice.

In January 2023, my life took an unexpected turn when I broke my ankle and sustained a head injury. At the time, I was running my home-based beauty business, but my recovery left me unable to work for several months. During this time, I felt a strong calling to pursue a path in health and wellness. Passionate about the body’s innate ability to heal, I studied The Spinal Flow technique while I was recovering from surgery in November 23. I became a certified Spinal Flow Practitioner in April 2024.

Through working with clients experiencing anxiety and various health conditions, I noticed a common pattern—shallow, rapid breathing. At the same time, I became more aware of how my own breath affected my ability to focus and remain calm during stressful situations.

This profound experience made me truly understand the power of conscious breathing to manage stress and pain. Wanting to explore further, I delved into breathwork studies, initially for my own health. What I discovered was life-changing—so much of the stress, pain and illness that people live with daily can be improved through breath retraining and simple lifestyle changes.

My journey in health and wellness continues to evolve, and I am committed to sharing what I’ve learned, with people that are struggling with pain and illness. By regulating our nervous system through proper nutrition, quality sleep, slow deep breathing, and holistic therapies, we can transform both our physical and emotional health—To live the life we love and love the life we live.
